Sample Itinerary for a 24 hour escape to the
country in & near Julian:

  1. Leave San Diego at 3 p.m. on Friday, arrive at Santa Ysabel Casino around 4:15

  2. Drinks and slots at the Casino, ending on the Patio overlooking Lake Henshaw

  3. Dinner at Jeremy’s on the Hill from 6-8 p.m.

  4. Stay at the Julian Lodge—let the mountain air in.

  5. Continental Breakfast at the Lodge, 7 a.m.

  6. Hike Volcan Mountain to the Summit and back.

  7. Arrive at J. Jenkins and/or Menghini Winery for tasting, 10 a.m.

  8. Return to the Lodge to freshen up, and check out by noon.

  9. Lunch at the Fajita Grill

  10. Shop Main St.

  11. Apple Pie and Apple Cider at Apple Allies

  12. Return to San Diego in the late afternoon.

   You'll feel like you've escaped for a week.  You can also taste at Orfila's tasting room down the street from Jeremy's, and there is cider (hard & soft) to enjoy too.
